And yet I still find myself posting them lol :)

Hospitals

Im currently babysitting Jas and Ruby while Liane and Dave are in the hospital waiting to welcome little Billy into this world.... finally. They were very excited when they left YAY.
Yesterday Maddisyn finally went in and had her nose and ears done. Andrew took the day off work to attend and as instructed, we arrived at the hospital at 6.30am, in pre-op at 7.30 and on her way to theatre with her dad at 9.
When Maddy had her 1st op at 2yrs old, I was the one that went in to theatre to help put her to sleep. They got me to hold her in my arms as they put the mask on her. I remember she was so happy and thought it was a game. Then the doc said 'Hold her tight' and as he was saying it, Maddy closed her eyes and went all floppy and heavy. I was so freaked that I burst into tears and just about dropped her. It was horrible so I decided then and there that never again would I put myself through that again. So stuff like that is dads special job.
Andrew informed me when he came back that our daughter put up a hell of a fight and went to sleep crying. She also woke up crying and demanding that she wanted to go home. The nurse sternly told her not yet to which my lovely daughter replied 'Well when then.' 'After you have a sleep, eat and drink something and hold it all down and go to the toilet, then we will talk about you going home.'
So our determined little muppet did all that (Dad joined her for a sleep tho) and we were walking out the doors at 2.30. A very long day.
