Kyla Alexandra Hope, 15 Today
Kyla getting ready to cut her cakes. She wanted an ice cream cake as well as a mudcake. She spent the day out shopping with the birthday money we gave her and she came home with a fair bit of loot. It was hard for us to figure out what to get her as she had basically gotten everything she wanted for xmas.So money it was. Nice and simple for us thats for sure.
Numnum, which shall I have first?
Mum and Dad, still in shock that we are the parents of a 15 year old. How the hell did that happen? Kyla has been on and on about getting her belly button pierced and Andrew has been pretty staunch about it not being done so imagine our surprise when he told us that she can go and get it done on Friday. Wish hed told me before I handed all that cash over to her this morning :(

More Photos
Today it was real hot but I had promised to take the kids to the movies and regretablly could not get out of it :( So we all got ready and I decided to snap a few shots as Im putting together photo albums for Aunty Shirl and their grandparents. Kyla, Kaytlynn and I went to Twilight while Andrew took the younger ones to Bolt, the new kids movie out. And I have to say, all the hype that Twilight has received was a waste. Not only did I havta put up with a predictable storyline, but I had to endure listening to lusting teens giggling and whispering stuff like 'Oh hes sooo hot' when the main vampire guy came onto the screen. Sorry Rob Pattison fans, hes just not all that and neither is the movie.
Car Washn
With the heat of Perth at its finest, its been a bit too hot to get out there in the sun and wash my car. Unfortunately when Andrew bought me the new car it was under the condition that I wash it regularly, no excuses. So off to the car wash we went. We took Ethan as I usually wash my vehicles by hand its been a long time since hes been in the carwash. And the look on his face was priceless!! Well for a while anyway. Then he started touching everything on my dash as he got bored lol. p.s the car is not moving so im not breaking any laws having my son unrestrained in the front am I??

1st January 2009
To start the new year off we decided to go do some food shopping and have a family dinner, just us and our kids and pets. So after preparing the salads and bread rolls, Andrew fired up the barby and threw the snags on. Unfortunately when it took 30mins to cook them, we realised that our gas bottle was just about out of gas AARGH! So the steaks and chicken nibbles ended up in the frypan and oven lol. But we still had an awesome munch numnum. Then with full tummies and empty plates, everyone started to wander off to watch tv and play xbox when I thort 'bugger this!' and stormed through the house switching everything off and demanding that everyone go across to the park to walk our dinner off instead of sitting in front of the box and letting the calories store themselves!!Andrew was like 'No way!' till he saw my face and then told the kids that it was best they did what I said! Smart man. So after half an hour at the park, we came home and cleared the dishes and stuff I got the cake out for dessert. Then I mopped the floor and me and the kids and their friends played Sing star (karaoke PS3 game)and Im proud to say that I kicked their asses! To finish off the night I went to my mates house next door and had a drink with her and our other mate who lives on the other side of me to celebrate her birthday (I only had one small drink as I have work in the morning and have been sick)A lovely start to 2009 :)

Getting Fit
You know how you start the new year with all your resolutions and good intentions and nine times out of 10 year start of good and then life gets in the way?? Every year one of my resolutions is to lose weight and I start off well.... anyway to encourage me and all that jazz the kids got me a WiiFit for xmas. Although I had heard stuff about it and most of it was positive and i was mildly interested i didnt actually think id end up with one. Anyway, once i got past the cartoony guides that it is made of, i find that im totally enjoying it and am starting to get results already (even if it is only water at this stage lol). And what makes it even better, i find im enjoying doing it all in my own home at my own time. good investment. half an hour a day and you feel great :)
