Happy Birthday Kaytlynn Taylor!!!!
Well Kaytlynn turned 12 yesterday and she had a wonderful day. She was up at 5am as Andrew wanted to give her her presents before he went to work and then while I slipped back into lala land for a couple more hours, she set up her brand new computer and aquainted herself with it. She was a very happy chappy :) Then after the other kids went to skool, Katy and I went cruising for the day, picking up cakes and stuff and seeing my sisters and talking to far away auntys and uncles on the phone that made the effort to contact her. Then that afternoon Katy and I and 4 of her cousins went to the movies to see Wall E. Not really my thing but they loved it. Then we stopped off to see Aunty Liane and Uncle Dave and after dropping off various kids we went home for dinner and cake. Needless to say, our brand new 12 year old was buggered about this time and was in bed pretty early.

Bit of a smile :)
As a part of her grade for her childcare course at school Kyla has been on about the fact that they havta bring home a doll and take total care of this thing 24/7 for a whole week.
Weve heard about this 'baby' for a month or 2 and never thort it was going to happen.
Im hanging out the clothes today and turn around to answer something that Maddy had asked me and theres our 14 year old daughter walking towards me pushing a pram and wearing a less than pleased look on her face. I will admit that the 1st thing I did was burst out laughing. Kyla is not exactly the maternal type but I commend her the fact that shes taken on this course. But they gave her a real pram and an overnite bag with clothes and blankeys. In fact the only thing thats out of place is the dummy.
My eldest child was a bit flustered as she had had to take the baby and pram on the bus and found out how hard it is to juggle these things all at once by yourself. But she got over it and has had the thing in her arms or wrapped up in the pram facing her since they walked in the door. It basically just cries and records anything that happens to it via a chip in its tummy. Kyla has to keep a diary as well. Next year she gets a more advanced doll that actually requires milk and changing eeew.
So welcome my new little 'granddaughter' Sharday.
I will take a picture as soon as I find my camera so you can all c the proud new 'mummy'

I kssed a girl......
NOT hehe. Thats just a song thats stuck in my head at the mo coz its all Im hearing grrr.
Well, anonymous, u called me a slacker so Ive decided to prove you wrong :P and write a post HAH.
Well as always not much is happening other than the usual in this neck of the woods. Kyla just started her 1st job tonite, and yes, Im talking bout a real job, not the ones she does for her mum and dad or other family members. Shes working at a place called Curry2Go in Waikiki just up the road from her Aunty Liane. I just picked her up and she seemed real enthusiastic about it, as you do on your first day. I encouraged her to keep that enthusiasm at a high for as long as she could. We are very very proud of her :)
Kaytlynns birthday is coming up in a few days. Cant believe that she is 12 now... well nearly anyway. Since she is such a good girl and excels in everything that she does at home and at school, Andrew and I have bought her a very special gift that we feel that she deserves. Some say we are crazy and frivolous with it but we dont care. And anyway, a laptop at her age isnt so uncommon these days.
As for the littlies of the family, they are all going very very well. Liam loves hanging out with his friends as does Maddisyn, and Ethan is acting like a spoilt brat that drives us nuts and yet we all still find ourselves giving him what he wants. Go figure.
Kiss kiss to y'all xxxx
