As a part of her grade for her childcare course at school Kyla has been on about the fact that they havta bring home a doll and take total care of this thing 24/7 for a whole week.
Weve heard about this 'baby' for a month or 2 and never thort it was going to happen.
Im hanging out the clothes today and turn around to answer something that Maddy had asked me and theres our 14 year old daughter walking towards me pushing a pram and wearing a less than pleased look on her face. I will admit that the 1st thing I did was burst out laughing. Kyla is not exactly the maternal type but I commend her the fact that shes taken on this course. But they gave her a real pram and an overnite bag with clothes and blankeys. In fact the only thing thats out of place is the dummy.
My eldest child was a bit flustered as she had had to take the baby and pram on the bus and found out how hard it is to juggle these things all at once by yourself. But she got over it and has had the thing in her arms or wrapped up in the pram facing her since they walked in the door. It basically just cries and records anything that happens to it via a chip in its tummy. Kyla has to keep a diary as well. Next year she gets a more advanced doll that actually requires milk and changing eeew.
So welcome my new little 'granddaughter' Sharday.
I will take a picture as soon as I find my camera so you can all c the proud new 'mummy'
